This was once the sea.

The western side of Tainan was once the sea.

I heard stories about old Tainan from a local person I was walking around town with. This area used to be the sea, and it gradually became land due to landslides.

When it was the sea, black-faced spoonbills would rest their wings here and then fly away again. Small boats would have supported people's lives.

The town and even the pebbles hold a vast history. However, in our daily lives, we often just pass them by as background. Stopping to reflect on that history, imagining the people of the past, and trying to capture it in a picture—when I did that, the town, the people, and the creatures all seemed endearing.
